The TCH in central Newfoundland has reopened in both directions following a collision on the highway about 1 km east of the Bay d’Espoir turnoff.

Emergency crews are responding to a collision on the Trans Canada Highway in central, approximately 1 km east of the Bay d’Espoir turnoff.

Both lanes of the highway are closed for the time being.

RCMP are asking travelers to avoid the area for the time being, and to expect delays.
