“She wasn’t very smart” is a quote from Warren Kinsella referring to Danielle Smith in the above column.
Let me guess, Warren, she didn’t graduate magna cum laude like yourself or hasn’t travelled in your upper-crust social circles, or maybe she hasn’t read every deep, critical-thinking book, like yourself.
But, unlike yourself, maybe she is more street smart than book smart, and to me that is a far better trait as a leader. Someone who can actually relate to everyday people.
I might even guess that Danielle is actually humble enough to agree with you, and therein lies the difference between the two of you — arrogance versus humility.

WON’T BE INVESTING
Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne is pretty gung ho for Canadians to invest in the Liberals’ sovereign wealth fund. Guess what? Canadian taxpayers have already contributed $25 billion of our money to set it up whether we like it or not. We would have zero say in where the money is invested, and it sounds to me like it will be just another vague Liberal slush fund.
I have absolutely zero inclination in investing one thin dime in this Liberal scheme. I want my tax contribution back.
