CLIMATE ZEALOT WON’T BE MISSED
Steven Guilbeault resigning is a sad day in politics? Sorry, not in my books.

Guilbeault and Justin Trudeau collaborated to cripple this country economically. They spent billions on useless climate policies and drove investment out of Canada.
Guilbeault was a climate zealot and never looked at the big picture or into other alternatives. He considered his way the best way and the only way.
If Guilbeault had been prime minister (shudder), we would have been back to heating our houses with wood and using horse and buggy until they got the grid set up for electric vehicles.
So, no, I won’t shed any tears. We can still do what we can for the environment, but not at the expense of the country.

FIFA RED CARD
Re: AGAR: Canada’s FIFA World Cup dream turning into a billion-dollar bill for taxpayers, online, May 25
Taxpayers have to be seeing red after reading that the FIFA World Cup games played in Canada will cost Canadians $1.06 billion. It is beyond belief that FIFA gets almost all the financial rewards while taxpayers take all the risks.
We also learn that 12 out 14 countries that have most recently hosted the World Cup lost money.
Can you imagine if the taxpayer money squandered on the games was used to help tackle homelessness, to fund food banks or even to keep our Snowbirds flying.
Taxpayers need to have a say in how their money is spent.
