At the current pace, the city is on track to record more than 5,500 break-ins by the end of the year.
Montreal continues to see a steady increase in break-ins, averaging just over 18 daily last month, according to the latest Service de police de la Ville de Montréal.
The SPVM recorded 569 break-ins last month, marking a notable jump from 465 in June and 487 in May. As of July 31, there have been 3,254 across the city this year.
